Bluberries Burn Fat: Can They Really?

We have all known for years the incredible antioxidant properties of blueberries. Today’s news is even better about these little dark blue almost purple fruit! Blueberries CAN burn fat!
Firstly let’s look at what we have known up until now. The sweet and tangy little berries are so full of antioxidants called anthocyanin that they prevent inflammation in our bodies, and promote healthy aging. Blueberries are at the very top of the antioxidant list, and just one cup of blueberries has more antioxidant capacity than one cup of strawberries, cranberries, raspberries and plums!
Antioxidants help our bodies in the following ways. They protect our bodies against disease, age related risks to our health, but more importantly they protect us against cancer. The natural antidioxidants in fruits and vegetables that we consume help us to fight free radicals in our body with something called phytonutrients. Our bodies have a daily fight against inflammation, and aging, and it’s almost as if things like blueberries come to our rescue helping us to fight the daily fight! Diseases related to the aging of the brain, like Alzheimers are fought by the anti inflammation properties of blueberries.
Blueberries also protect our vision, our urinary health, the list is endless.
So as I said above all this we knew already and today came some breaking news!! Blueberries burn fat!! Scientists have released their latest findings after much research, they say they have found that the skin on the blueberries contains a certain bacteria, and this bacteria prevents obesity and will in turn will almost halt diabetes. They have done their testing on rats, and they feel this will have a huge impact on humans. They said that “consumption of fermented blueberries gradually and significantly reduced high blood sugar levels in diabetic mice”
Fat burning blueberries is such great news. The intake of blueberries will give us all the antioxidants we need to live a healthy lifestyle. One to two cups per day is sufficient for our bodies per day. Incorporate the blueberries into a healthy diet, an exercise, and you will have a new happy long life!
